Direct Certification Matching Process (DCMP)

09.13.2024

The New York State Education Department’s Direct Certification Matching Process (DCMP) is an annual requirement for schools to identify students eligible for free meals through SNAP and Medicaid. Schools with 25% or more directly certified students can opt into the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP). It is recommended to conduct the DCMP before the school year starts, again after about a month or two, and a final time in February or March, for accurate reporting and benefits.
