Dear Clients,
We’d like to inform you about the Summer Electronic Benefit Transfer (SEBT) program for the 2025–2026 school year. This program provides grocery funds to families of eligible students during the summer months, when school meals are not available. The program applies to schools that participate in the National School Lunch Program.
In order for eligible families to receive their benefits, schools must submit the SEBT data collection form, which is now available through the Information and Reporting Services Data Information Exchange (IDEx) within the New York State Application Business Portal. To ensure that as many eligible students as possible are included, we recommend running the Direct Certification Matching Process prior to submission. Without this data, students at your school who are eligible for Free and Reduced Price Lunch (FRPL) during the 2025–2026 school year may not receive their Summer 2026 electronic benefits.
The SEBT form must be completed and submitted no later than Friday, May 1, 2026.
To support you through this process, detailed instructions are available in the Summer EBT Form Guidance document within the Datasupport Summer Electronic Benefits (SEBT) Help Center.
If you experience any issues accessing or submitting the form, we recommend reaching out directly to dtasupport@nysed.gov with “Summer EBT Form 2026” in the subject line.
